Covid-19 Information, Testing & Vaccinations

Covid Services

As a community health center, the safety and wellbeing of our patients, staff and community members is of the utmost importance to us. In direct response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are committed to ensuring that access to care at our facilities is impacted as little as possible.

We will keep our doors open to patients, offering virtual visits whenever possible. We have instituted protocols to evaluate patients for potential exposure and a referral plan for those that may need further evaluation. Facility hours remain intact for all locations.

We encourage you to source your information about the coronavirus from reputable sources, specifically the CDC.

Any updates will be posted on our website and through social media channels.

Note: As of April 5, 2022, patients without health insurance who would like to be tested for Covid-19 have the option to receive a free at-home testing kit or pay out of pocket for their test. Individuals without insurance who would like a Covid-19 vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer are available at Valle del Sol) may apply for our Sliding Fee Scale to pay as little as $0 for their visit, depending on their annual income. Please call (602) 258-6797 to make an appointment or to see if you qualify for our Sliding Fee Scale.

FAQ’s About COVID-19

  • Can Valle del Sol test me if I think I have been exposed to the Coronavirus?

We are currently able to collect specimens for testing, however, we will need to send the sample out for testing. Prioritization will be given to symptomatic people who meet specific criteria.

We encourage patients who are experiencing the following to call us at (602) 258-6797 for a consultation:

    • If you have been in an area infected with Covid-19
    • If you have a fever greater than 101
    • If you have shortness of breath
  • Will you still be open for my appointments?

Yes! As a Community Health Center, Valle del Sol is committed to keeping our doors open, no matter what. We also have tele-medicine options available. Please call us at (602) 258-6797 to inquire about options.

  • Will I be penalized for no call/no show or missing an appointment?

We encourage patients to give us advance notice if you are going to miss an appointment so we can offer that appointment to another patient in need. Please call (602) 258-6797 to cancel or reschedule your appointment or visit our contact us page.

  • What steps are providers taking to keep patients safe?

If patients meeting the criteria show up on premises as symptomatic, staff will seclude the patient to a separate area of the building.

Other safety precautions will be taken as necessary. CDC protocol for cleaning our buildings is being followed faithfully.

  • Can I bring anyone with me to my appointment?

If you are coming to Valle del Sol for an in-person appointment, we ask if possible for you to bring just yourself and/or your ill person. We want to ensure that the fewest amount of people are in our lobby area to ensure social distancing is held to the strictest protocol.

For youth patients, a guardian must be present.

  • Will FastTrack intakes still be available?

Yes! Starting Wednesday, March 18, we will be doing intakes via telemedicine.

We will also continue in-person intakes, however telemedicine is preferred to support social distancing protocols.
